Automatic Fare Collection(AFC) is a comprehensive application of computer, statistics, finance and other professional knowledge. It is an automatic system to realize the whole process of ticket selling, ticket checking, billing, charging, statistical settlement and operation management of rail transit. It is also the guarantee of the economic source of rail transit. The AFC system transmits the signals collected by the terminal equipment to the computer center through the Ethernet for settlement.

Automatic Fare Collection system

    The AFC comprise line center,station terminal system,station computer system,maintenance center,training simulator system.
    Line center：it is the core of AFC,and contain core servers, switches and other devices. The core servers connected to 2 redundant switches. and other devices connected to a certain switch. And then cascade to the backbone ring network. The backbone network between stations is connected through 10Gbps optical fiber ring network through CXS5028X.
    Station terminal system: Station terminal equipment connected to CXS2012 switches, all CXS2012 switches form a ring network. and the uplink port of the ring connecte to the core switches.
    Station computer system: A CXS5028G is used to connect all the equipments in the system in a star network and then cascade with the core switch. Ensure communication with line center system.
    Maintenance Center and Training Simulator System: Maintenance Workshop System is responsible for the maintenance and training of equipment in the whole station. We use three CXS5028G Ethernet switches to cascade the equipment of Maintenance Center, Training and Simulator System and Maintenance Workshop into the core ring network of the station, so as to communicate with the line center.
